June Newsletter

Hi reader,

Process Underground – Finished and Live!
Process Underground is now finished, and the Practice Paths page that you had sneak peek access to is now public on the site.
Since the last newsletter I added 5 new questions, including a final “Boss Battle” stage with the project sponsor. Be sure to check it out even if you played the limited preview.
The Practice Paths page can be accessed from any screen via the Study Aids menu.
Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on Process Underground; your time and comments are very much appreciated.

New Practice Exam with Task-Specific Analysis

I am working on a new practice exam that asks three questions on each of the 35 Exam Content Outline Tasks.
While the questions are mixed up in the practice exam, the results will be displayed on radar charts organized by ECO Domain (People, Process, and Business Environment) and broken into individual Tasks, such as “1.1 Manage Conflict”, “2.1 Execute Project”, etc.

This will allow you to revisit the Tasks you need to work on, optimizing your study time. I hope to have a beta version for early testing by newsletter readers in the next newsletter.

BS Bull Explains PM Terms

BS Bull has another opportunity this month to explain some common PM acronyms and terms.

VAC: Vague Assumptions Calculated, a prediction of how much you’ll miss your budget by, based on guesswork.

SMART Goals: Somewhat Meaningless And Really Tedious, a method for creating goals that sound impressive but are impossible to achieve.

RACI Matrix: Really Annoying and Confusing Information, a chart designed to baffle your team about who is actually responsible for what.

July Plans

In July, I will focus on the new practice exam with Task level analysis and start the final Practice Path game for the Business Environment domain.

Until then, I hope you enjoy the site. Please continue to share your testimonials and enjoy studying for your PMP exam visually.
