What is PMillustrated?
PM Illustrated is a visual learning and exam-preparation website for project managers preparing for the PMP® exam.
It combines concise explanations, visual metaphors, practice questions, games, progress tracking and diagnostic tools to help learners understand how project management concepts fit together rather than simply memorize terminology.
The site is aligned to the 2026 PMP Exam Content Outline and provides coverage across all three exam domains and all 26 ECO tasks. It can be used alongside the PM Illustrated book or independently as an online study resource.
How is it Different?
Most PMP study resources are heavily text-based. PM Illustrated takes a different approach.
Concepts are explained using diagrams, illustrated examples and memorable visual associations. The aim is to make complex topics easier to understand, recall and apply in exam scenarios.
The site also includes practice questions and interactive study tools so learners can identify strengths and knowledge gaps rather than simply work through content in sequence.
For learners who prefer to see the big picture before working into the detail, the visual structure can make the PMP syllabus considerably easier to navigate.

The PMP exam changes from 9 July 2026, with increased emphasis on the Business Environment domain and continued coverage of predictive, agile and hybrid ways of working.
PM Illustrated has been updated around the 2026 Exam Content Outline, including all three domains:

Business Environment – 26%
The site also addresses newer and expanded topics including artificial intelligence, sustainability, value delivery, compliance and organizational change.

A visual approach to learning
The animal characters and illustrations are not there simply to make the material look different.
They provide memorable associations that help distinguish concepts which can otherwise become difficult to separate when studying large amounts of project management terminology.
A strong visual association can make it easier to retrieve an idea later, while diagrams help show relationships that may take several paragraphs to explain in text.
This approach will not suit everyone, but for visual learners and people tired of conventional exam-preparation material, it offers another way into the subject.
