What is it?
This website accompanies the PM Illustrated book. It provides visual study aids and lightweight explanations of common project management topics. It can be used to help review and revise project management concepts for the PMP® exam.
What it is not
It is not a full-blown, teach-yourself everything you need to know about project management website. For more comprehensive project management education, we recommend project experience, reputable training courses and full-length books. However, if you are looking to see how concepts fit together, visually assess your knowledge and skill gaps, we hope you find this website helpful.
This site is still under construction. It represents a minimum viable product to test market reaction. For example, each topic is followed by a mini-quiz, but the quiz only has three questions, usually from a pool of only six questions. A visual glossary has been developed, but only as a proof of concept with a subset of terms so far.
The whole animal cartoons idea to learn about project management is untested. People may hate it or think it stupid. While some people thinking it stupid is OK, everyone thinking that way sends a message I should focus elsewhere.
My hope is that a fun, visual learning environment will resonate with enough people to warrant further investment. More content, more questions, video walkthroughs, faster response time – there are many improvements planned, but they need to be paid for. Until then, if you like what you see please tell your friends.
